Behind Habitat Gym
Habitat Gym was founded in 2023 by Jeannie and Ben, a husband wife duo. With 2 decades of personal training and exercise physiology experience between them, they knew they could create a gym, a space, a third place for their surrounding community to feel empowered, comfortable and supported.
Habitat was born out of wanting to share their tried and tested training programs to the wider community. Since its opening, Habitat quickly evolved into a thriving community of over 100 like-minded individuals that have built lasting strong habits.
When you become a Habitat Member, you’re not just joining workout sessions, you’re joining our community.
Meet Ben and Jeannie
Ben Luo
Co-Founder & Head CoachBen is our Head Coach, Clinical Exercise Physiologist, and one half of Habitat Gym. With an extensive background in rehab and performance, he’s helped hundreds of people get out of pain and return to work, sport, and life.
Ben has led strength and conditioning programs for AFL athletes and overseen workplace rehab as an operations manager, leading teams of physios, EPs, and OTs to support recovery and long-term outcomes. His coaching style is methodical, and focused on helping you train with confidence and purpose.
He holds a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology, certifications in Building a Strength Athlete (Strength System) and Better Pain Management (Faculty of Pain Medicine), and works across the full spectrum - from rehab to high performance.

Jeannie Vo
Co-Founder & General ManagerJeannie is our General Manager and the driving force behind Habitat Gym. With over 10 years of industry experience and mentorship from some of the field’s top coaches, she brings deep expertise to both training and leadership.
As a Certified Nutrition Coach, Pre- and Post-Natal Coach, and competitive powerlifter, she’s passionate about helping busy professionals build strength in a way that fits their real lives. Whether that’s training through different life stages, staying consistent with a demanding schedule, or finding a healthy balance that actually lasts.
Supportive and down-to-earth, Jeannie brings a calm, honest approach to coaching. She’s here to help you feel capable, stay focused, and get the most out of your training, even on your busiest days.

Piotr Olczak
Senior CoachPiotr is an accredited Exercise Scientist, specialising in strength and conditioning. He works with a wide range of clients. From busy professionals to athletes - focusing on building strength, improving performance and training around injuries.
Outside the gym, he’s a competitive sprint athlete. It explains the sharp eye for technique and speed. Expect good tunes, strong coffee and coaching that pushes you (safely) to your next level!

Isabelle Cavallaro
Assistant Manager & CoachIsabelle is a certified Performance Nutrition Coach and Pre-and Post Natal coach. She has a strong background in bodybuilding and a passion for helping women feel confident and capable.
She combines smart training with practical nutrition to help women, whether it’s getting strong, training through pregnancy or getting back to it after birth. Isabelle brings the energy, knowledge and real-life experience to every session. And yes, she really can knock out 3 sets of 10 strict pull-ups like it’s nothing!

Jayden Straub
CoachJayden is an Exercise Scientist with a background in sport with a keen interest in the science of exercise and evidence-based training. He’s got a natural talent for reading your efforts and knowing when to dial it up or down. He helps you train smarter, not just harder.
Every session counts with Jayden. He’s got a sharp focus and genuine passion for seeing clients succeed. You can count on him to guide you towards real progress. He’ll keep it challenging and manageable!

Coach George
CEO (Chief Excitement Officer)Coach George is our Chief Excitement Officer and head of the Welcome Committee here at Habitat Gym. Small in size but big on personality, George takes his role seriously - greeting every client at the door with tail wags, high energy, and just the right amount of chaos to lift your mood.
Whether it’s your first session or your hundredth, George’s welcome is always top-tier. His mission? Make you feel at home, keep spirits high, and sneak in as many pats as possible between sets.
He might occasionally bark some orders (literally), but we promise, it’s all love.
